About Hudson
Hudson HVAC is a tech-enabled HVAC service company built for high-rise residential condominiums. We specialize in in-suite maintenance and service (fan coils, heat pumps, ERVs, etc.) and base-building/mechanical room maintenance and service (boilers, MAUs, pumps, hydronic loops, controls). Backed by decades of experience through our parent company, BMI, we’re rapidly expanding across the GTA.
Role Summary
We’re hiring an experienced Lead Technician who holds 313A (G1 considered an asset) and has strong hands-on experience in high-rise condo mechanical rooms -not just maintenance, but real troubleshooting and service. This role is ideal for someone who can run jobs, lead crews, and support larger projects (equipment replacements, retrofits, shutdowns, etc.) while still being willing to get their hands dirty.
What You’ll Do
1) Mechanical Room / Base-Building (Primary Focus)
- Perform preventive maintenance and service on central systems including:
- Boilers and gas-fired equipment
- Make-up air units (MAUs) and ventilation systems
- Pumps, expansion tanks, strainers, valves
- Hydronic heating/cooling loops
- Chillers and Cooling Towers
- Controls / sensors (basic diagnostics and coordination where needed)
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues quickly and safely
- Identify deficiencies and communicate clear action plans to property management
- Produce accurate, professional service documentation and recommendations
2) Leadership & Bigger Jobs
- Lead small crews on maintenance cycles, service calls, shutdowns, and capital work
- Coordinate scope, materials, and scheduling with Hudson operations + suppliers
- Support larger projects (equipment replacements, retrofits, riser work, mechanical upgrades)
- Maintain quality control and ensure safe work practices on site
What We’re Looking For
- 313A Refrigeration License (required) and/or G1 Gas License
- 5+ years HVAC experience, with significant time in high-rise condominiums
- Strong mechanical room troubleshooting skills (maintenance + service)
- Experience leading crews or acting as the “go-to” tech on site
- Comfortable managing job flow: materials, coordination, documentation, communication
- Strong understanding of safety standards and regulations (TSSA, ESA awareness, site protocols)
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Why Hudson
- Real responsibility and autonomy - this is a lead role, not a “ticket-holder” role
- High-quality work in premium condo environments
- Growth runway: expanding mechanical room service, maintenance contracts, and capital projects
- Competitive compensation + advancement as the team scales
To apply: Reply with your resume and a brief note on your condo mechanical room experience (what equipment you’ve worked on, and whether you’ve led crews/projects). Or send your resume directly to [email protected] with an summary of why you think you'd be the best new addition to the Hudson Condominium Solutions Team.
