Northstar Chevrolet Buick GMC is seeking motivated Red Seal Automotive Technicians and Apprentice Automotive Service Technicians to join our growing service team in Fernie, British Columbia. As a multi-line GM dealership serving the East Kootenay region, we take pride in delivering exceptional customer service, quality repairs, and a positive team-focused work environment. Our dealership is part of the Northstar Chevrolet Buick GMC family, serving communities throughout Cranbrook, Creston, and Fernie.

What You'll Do
- Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and other vehicle makes
- Complete warranty and customer-pay repairs efficiently and accurately
- Conduct vehicle inspections and identify required maintenance and repair work
- Use diagnostic equipment and manufacturer service information to troubleshoot issues
- Maintain accurate repair documentation and communicate findings clearly
- Work collaboratively with Service Advisors, Parts Advisors, and fellow technicians
- Adhere to all safety procedures and dealership standards
- Participate in ongoing manufacturer and industry training programs
Qualifications:
Red Seal Technician Applicants
- Red Seal Automotive Service Technician certification
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Dealership experience is considered an asset
- GM experience or ASEP training is an asset but not required
Apprentice Technician Applicants
- Registered Apprentice Automotive Service Technician (all levels encouraged to apply)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Positive attitude and commitment to professional development
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable performing repetitive bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
- Ability to work in a fast-paced service environment
