OVERVIEW
Hardscape/Landscape Construction Labourer work seasonally in the Landscape & Maintenance division and are responsible for building Allan Block planter-style retaining walls and help with installation of drainage and irrigation.
REQUIREMENTS
An Alberta Class 5 driver’s licence is required for this position, along with a minimum of two years of experience constructing Allan Block planter-style retaining walls.
Experience operating small equipment including skid steer, mini excavator and dump truck is asset.
The role requires the ability to lift between 30 and 80 lbs., work overhead and at heights, and perform physical tasks such as bending, squatting, and kneeling.
DUTIES
The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Perform site preparation and grading for the installation of Allan Block retaining walls.
- Construction of Allan Block planter-style retaining walls, including drainage installation, topsoil placement, irrigation setup, planting of trees and shrubs, and application of rock mulch.
- Transport and stage landscaping materials, including blocks, soil, gravel, and stone, as required for project completion.
- Performing routine maintenance on Spring Creek-owned vehicles and equipment, including washing and cleaning out company-owned vehicles and equipment.
- Keeping the Maintenance Shop clean and organized.
