Operating out of the historic 1908 Livery Building in Fernie, we provide custom furniture, high-end bedding, blinds, and full interior design services that blend vintage character with modern design.
We are looking for a creative, visually driven Social Media Coordinator/Graphic Designer to help us showcase our stunning products, and connect with our design community in the Kootenays
The Role
This is a hybrid creative role. You won’t just be sitting behind a screen; you’ll have a presence in our physical showroom and our project sites to capture authentic content, mixed with dedicated design. If you love interior design, beautiful spaces, and creating polished digital assets, you will thrive here.
Key Responsibilities
- Social Media Management: Plan, create, and schedule multiple high-quality posts a week across Instagram and Facebook.
- Content Creation: Step onto the showroom floor to shoot crisp photos, aesthetic reels, and video content featuring our latest arrivals, custom blinds, and client design projects.
- Email Marketing: Design and draft our digital newsletters, showcasing "shop the look" collections, our Hunter Douglas blinds, seasonal trends, and store updates.
- Ad Design: Create clean, eye-catching digital and print advertisements and other assets that match our modern mountain aesthetic.
- Brand Consistency: Maintain a cohesive visual identity across all platforms, ensuring our tone remains warm, professional, and inspiring.
- Website Updating: Knowledge of Shopify and updating website with new products/images etc, knowledge of custom coding is a bonus.
What We Are Looking For
· A Solid Eye for Design: You know what makes a space look good on camera. An interest or background in interior design, home decor, or lifestyle branding is a massive asset.
- Platform Proficiency: Experienced with Instagram (Reels/Stories), Facebook and email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp)
- Design Tools: High proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/InDesign), or similar layout and photo editing tools.
- Self-Starter Attitude: You can take a loose idea, look around the showroom, and run with it to build an engaging campaign.
- Local Presence: Must be in or near Fernie to attend regular shifts in the store for content capture.
Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
