Pharmacy Manager (Licensee) – Temporary Contract Role

We are looking for an experienced Interim Pharmacy Manager (Licensee) for a well-supported community pharmacy in Deer Lake, Newfoundland & Labrador. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist with leadership experience who is confident managing pharmacy operations while collaborating with an established team.
The assignment starts June 1st and lasts 3–6 months, ideal for pharmacists seeking a high-paying leadership contract with a consistent weekday routine.
Job Summary
Role: Interim Pharmacy Manager (Licensee)
Location: Deer Lake, NL
Start Date: June 1st
Contract Length: 3–6 Months
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Hours: 40 hours per week
System: Kroll
Compensation: $100–$110 per hour
Practice Setting
150–200 prescriptions per day
OAT (Methadone) services
Administration of injections
Dedicated pharmacy assistant coverage
Pharmacist overlap for collaboration
Established community pharmacy
Key Duties
- Supervise daily pharmacy activities acting as the Licensee
- Maintain compliance with provincial regulations and professional standards
- Coordinate workflow and support team members
- Deliver clinical care, overseeing OAT programs and performing injections
- Offer high-quality patient consultations and counseling
- Promote a supportive, team-oriented workplace culture
Required Credentials
- Licensed Pharmacist eligible to practice in Newfoundland & Labrador
- Previous pharmacy management or leadership background preferred
- Experience with OAT (Methadone) programs
- Injection certification required
- Strong working knowledge of Kroll
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
