We provide peace of mind to building science professionals, construction firms, architects, restoration companies, and building owners and managers.
Our dynamic and growing company is seeking skilled Field Technicians in the Vancouver area to support our projects. This exciting role involves visiting client sites to perform installations, maintenance, service, and data collection for our advanced moisture monitoring systems, offering the unique opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and projects throughout North America.
Key Responsibilities:
- Visit client sites to install, maintain, and service electronic sensor systems and components—including cables, enclosures, and sensors—within a supportive, hands-on environment.
- Perform non-destructive testing and collect site data, with training and guidance provided as needed.
- Capture clear and detailed photo and video records of site conditions and completed work.
- Prepare concise field reports using provided templates, including photos and key observations.
- Handle and transport testing equipment and tools (typically up to 50 lbs) as part of daily fieldwork.
- Work confidently and safely within active construction site environments.
- Adhere to company safety standards and follow established procedures.
- Assist with additional field or project tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in construction or a related field (carpentry, electrical, or similar) is preferred.
- Experience with low-voltage systems or PLCs is an asset.
- Reliable vehicle and clean driver's abstract - mandatory.
- Strong mechanical and analytical skills.
- Ability to travel regularly to client sites (estimated 50-75%) primarily within the Greater Vancouver area, with occasional travel across BC.
- Dexterity in handling wires, cables, and electronics.
- Comprehensive technical writing skills for clear and concise report generation.
- Effective communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, responsible, punctual.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules, including varying outdoor conditions (wind, rain, snow, sun).
- Digital familiarity and fluency with Google Workspace & MS Office software.
- Valid WHMIS, and Fall Protection certification would be an asset.
