Job description:
Best Personnel Inc. is currently hiring experienced Machine Operators and Equipment Operators to join our dispatch pool for various construction, warehouse, and industrial assignments throughout the Lower Mainland.
We are looking for reliable, safety-conscious operators who have hands-on experience operating equipment on active job sites. Assignments may vary depending on client needs, location, equipment type, and project requirements.
This is a great opportunity for experienced operators who are open to temporary, long-term, and potential full-time opportunities.
What this role involves
Duties may vary depending on the site, but can include:
- Operating machinery or equipment safely and efficiently
- Assisting with site preparation, material movement, and general operations
- Working around construction, warehouse, civil, or industrial job sites
- Completing pre-use equipment checks when required
- Following supervisor instructions and site safety procedures
- Communicating clearly with site teams and ground workers
- Assisting with general labour duties when equipment work is slower
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area
Equipment experience may include
- Skid steer / Bobcat
- Excavator
- Forklift
- Telehandler / Zoom Boom
- Scissor lift
- Boom lift
- Loader
- Roller / compactor
- Other construction, warehouse, or industrial equipment
Requirements
- Previous machine operation or equipment operation experience is required
- Must be confident operating equipment safely on a job site
- Valid equipment tickets or certifications are strongly preferred
- Must be reliable and able to show up on time
- Must be comfortable working in construction, warehouse, or industrial environments
- Must be able to follow instructions and communicate clearly in English for safety purposes
- Must have proper work authorization in Canada
- Must be willing to complete general labour tasks when required by the site
Tickets and certifications are a plus
The following are considered an asset:
- Forklift ticket
- Skid steer / Bobcat certification
- Excavator experience or certification
- Telehandler / Zoom Boom ticket
- Scissor lift or boom lift ticket
- WHMIS
- Confined Space
- Fall Protectio
- First Aid
- Any other equipment or safety-related tickets
Required gear
Candidates may be required to have:
- Hard hat
- Steel-toed boots
- High-visibility safety vest
- Weather-appropriate clothing
- Any additional PPE required by the worksite
