The Sanitation Operator is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the processing plant while ensuring compliance with food safety, quality, and safety standards. Reporting to the Sanitation Lead Hand, this role plays a critical part in supporting daily plant operations in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment.

Complete all TQC documentation and follow HACCP system procedures for assigned processing areas

Adhere to all safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and facilities

Perform general housekeeping duties across the plant

Report daily tasks, issues, and progress to the Sanitation Team Lead

Work effectively in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled (10°C) environment

Handle materials and perform lifting requirements up to 40 lbs unassisted

Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives

Complete required training programs (e.g., WHMIS, chemical systems, allergen training)

Obtain and maintain necessary certifications (e.g., lift truck, scissor lift, zoom boom, fall arrest)

Support additional duties and cross-functional tasks as required

High school diploma (Grade 12) or GED required

Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends

Mechanical aptitude and physical capability to lift up to 40 lbs

Basic computer skills; SAP experience is considered an asset

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Willingness to cross-train across various plant areas (e.g., Cutter Deck, Potato Receiving, Batter)

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle unexpected situations calmly

Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic production environment

Willingness to complete required certifications (e.g., WHMIS, TDG, confined space, equipment licensing)

Successful completion of a 90-day training period
The Sanitation team supports plant operations by ensuring a clean, safe, and compliant production environment. This role works closely with the Sanitation Lead Hand and cross-functional production teams, contributing to overall plant efficiency and food safety standards.

Compensation Package: - Starting at 25.13 CAD hourly + Hourly Pay Differential for applicable shifts
