Salary: CA$58,000.00 – CA$70,000.00 per year
Job Summary
At Lane One Homes Ltd. we create innovation for the next generation of housing. We factory produce our steel framed homes and provide on site installation. We handle everything from the delivery of the unit to the final finishing touches. We are currently seeking a Construction Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be the bridge between our project management team and municipal offices in BC. You will secure building and development permits, manage regulatory paperwork, and provide administrative support to ensure our construction projects launch and progress without delay.
This is a full-time position, Monday–Friday.
Responsibilities
Permit Coordination & Compliance
- Prepare, review, and submit accurate permit application packages to municipal building departments
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and project managers to gather required drawings specifications, and documentation
- Monitor application status with city officials, proactively resolving issues to expedite approvals
- Track municipal fees
- Ensure all active job sites maintain valid licenses and permits
Office Administration
- Maintain organized digital and physical project files
- Coordinate communication between field workers, subcontractors, project managers and clients
- Assist with contracts, change orders, bid packages, and other office work as needed
- Submit BC 1 Calls for job sites
Requirements
- Proven experience navigating municipal permitting processes across BC
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work tasks
- Attention to details and problem solving skills
- Ability to work well in teams as well as independently
- Valid BC drivers license
Experience
- Construction Administrator: 2 years (Required)
- Permitting Coordination: 1 year (Required)
- Modular/Manufactured Home Experience: 1 years (Preferred)
Experience
- High School Diploma (Required)
- Post-Secondary Certification in Construction Management or Office Admin (Asset)
