Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Piano Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music instruction and a genuine interest in fostering students’ musical development. This role offers an opportunity to work with learners of various ages, including children, and to inspire a love for music through engaging lessons. The Piano Teacher will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment, tailoring instruction to individual needs, and encouraging students to achieve their musical goals.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one or group piano lessons to students of different skill levels and ages
- Develop customized lesson plans that align with students’ interests and learning styles
- Assess students’ progress regularly and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Foster a supportive and motivating classroom environment that encourages creativity and confidence
- Prepare students for recitals, exams, or performances as appropriate
- Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, attendance, and student progress
- Collaborate with parents or guardians to communicate student achievements and areas for improvement
- Incorporate basic music theory, sight-reading, and ear training into lessons when appropriate
Qualifications
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching piano, preferably with children or early childhood education experience
- Strong knowledge of piano techniques, music theory, and repertoire suitable for various skill levels
- Experience working with children in educational or classroom settings is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate students of all ages
- Background in early childhood education or related fields is a plus
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that foster a love for music and learning
- Prior experience in cooking or classroom activities is considered a nice-to-have but not required
