Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze budgets to improve and maintain restaurant profitability.
- Develop operating budgets for food, ingredients, beverages, kitchen supplies, and cleaning materials.
- Evaluate and oversee daily restaurant operations.
- Review and adjust food preparation methods and menu pricing based on budget and operational requirements.
- Monitor revenues and labour costs to ensure operational efficiency.
- Supervise, coach, and monitor staff performance.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate daily restaurant operations.
- Prepare and manage employee work schedules.
- Train staff in operational procedures, customer service, food safety, and workplace policies.
- Balance cash, prepare balance sheets, cash reports, and related financial records.
- Conduct employee performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with provincial liquor legislation and regulations.
- Organize, maintain, and control restaurant inventory.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Negotiate purchasing arrangements with suppliers for food and restaurant supplies.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of marketing initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, and instruct employees.
- Resolve customer complaints and concerns professionally.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
