Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of equipment and facilities. The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining safety, efficiency, and operational continuity across our operations.
Duties
- Minor Repairs: Fixing leaks, repairing drywall, painting, and other basic repairs.
- Routine Maintenance: Performing tasks like changing filters, lubricating machinery, and general upkeep.
- Inspections: Regularly checking building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) for potential issues.
- Assistance: Providing support to skilled tradespersons like electricians, plumbers, and carpenters.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensuring machinery and equipment are in good working order.
- Safety and Security: Implementing and maintaining safety measures within the facility.
- Inventory Management: Keeping track of maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Washroom Maintenance: Ensure washroom is in a neat clean, and organized environment always.
- Mall Appearance: Ensure property is well maintained throughout the day (Swept, neat clean organized, and free of debris).
- Responding to Requests: Addressing maintenance requests from residents or staff.
- Additional Requirements: Other tasks, or duties not outlined may be assigned.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role in an asset.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose and repair mechanical systems effectively
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with electrical systems is a plus but not required
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment is preferred
- Ability to understand and work with various tools and equipment.
- Identify and resolve maintenance issues effectively.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in various positions.
