Who We Are
At Loyalty Markets / Snackhub, we are building a world-class operational machine. We compete directly with multinational giants, and we beat them by out-working, out-executing, and out-culturing them every single day. We don't take shortcuts, we run lean and frugal, and we fix our assets right the first time.
If you are an A-player who takes extreme ownership of your work, completes tasks to 100% completion, and wants a clear path to success, you belong here. If you are looking for a place to hide or want constant hand-holding, we are not the fit for you.
Position Overview
We are seeking a clean, professional, and highly analytical Field Service & Shop Technician to manage our growing fleet of commercial breakroom and food service equipment. This is a dynamic, split-environment role where you will balance your week between our central facility in North York (preparing, testing, and staging equipment) and traveling to client locations across the GTA and Southwestern Ontario to handle live installations, emergency service, and "pull-and-replace" swaps. Most of our location in inside company breakrooms.
We are not looking for simple "parts changers." We want a detail-oriented, self-managed professional who takes pride in their appearance and workmanship, investigates the root cause of mechanical issues, and confidently represents our brand in corporate environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Root-Cause Troubleshooting: Investigate complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing faults to resolve the true root cause of an issue, rather than just treating symptoms.
- Independent Resourcefulness: Review equipment manuals, schematics, and technical bulletins independently to master new machine configurations and solve unique problems on-site.
- Manufacturer Liaison: Take ownership of difficult repairs by reaching out directly to manufacturer tech-support lines, diagnosing component failures, and sourcing/identifying correct replacement part numbers.
- Digital Ticketing & Documentation: Utilizing our internal digital ticketing system daily to accurately log job notes, parts used, and time spent, alongside completing mandatory provincial refrigerant tracking logs with precision.
- Split Field & Shop Work: Alternate between preparing/refurbishing machinery to a spotless condition in our central workshop and executing clean, organized service calls at client corporate breakrooms.
- Flammable Refrigerant Safety: Safely service modern, eco-friendly R290 (Propane) self-contained cooling systems, ensuring strict adherence to safe handling and spark-free component replacement.
Mandatory Requirements (Day One)
- Experience: 2+ years of hands-on field service experience working on commercial appliances, coffee machinery, vending equipment, or food service gear.
- TSSA Certification: A valid TSSA Gas Technician 3 (G3) or Gas Technician 2 (G2) ticket is required.
- Environmental Certification: A valid Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) Card is mandatory.
- Driver’s License: A clean, valid Ontario Class "G" driver's license. You must be completely insurable under our corporate policy without surcharges.
- Clean Criminal Record: A clean lifetime criminal record is required by many of our clients.
- Technical Literacy: Exceptional ability to confidently read electrical schematics, navigate water plumbing configurations, and use diagnostic multi-meters.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs comfortably and handle moving commercial vending and refrigeration machinery using provided dollies and ramps.
What We Expect From You (Performance & Professionalism)
- Safety First: Total commitment to safety protocols and food safety compliance. When in doubt, you stop.
- Clean and Professional Habits: You will enter corporate head offices and retail spaces. A clean-cut appearance, clean uniform, tidy work habits, and clear communication skills are strict operational requirements.
- Self-Management: Highly organized with the ability to manage your daily service route, prioritize urgent calls, and keep your company vehicle clean, stocked, and orderly.
What We Offer (Compensation & Perks)
