Position Summary
This is a British Columbia-based position.
The Field Service Technician will primarily work on-site at customer locations within British Columbia & Alberta (approximately 90% of the time). The role may also require travel to other locations across Canada as needed.
The incumbent is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Nordipak’s proprietary food processing equipment at customer sites.
This role requires strong electro-mechanical expertise, technical precision, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic field environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Install, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on proprietary food processing machines
· Re-wire and repair electrical assemblies
· Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems
· Provide remote phone support to customers
· Deliver on-site customer training when required
· Maintain high service standards and customer satisfaction
Requirements
· Strong electro-mechanical background
· Detail-oriented and analytical mindset
· Valid British Columbia driver's license
· Personal and reliable vehicle required
· Comfortable traveling within British Columbia & Alberta (90%) and occasionally across Canada
· Ability to lift over 100 lbs (equipment provided to assist)
· Ability to sit for extended periods during travel
· Ability to work independently and manage stress effectively
Compensation & Benefits
· Base salary: $38–$40 per hour
