Kitchen Manager / Chef – Full-Time & Part-Time

About the Role
This role is ideal for an experienced Chef, Sous Chef, or kitchen leader ready to take ownership of day-to-day kitchen operations in our new market restaurant, managing and supporting our line cook and prep cook team members to deliver consistently high-quality food in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. You’ll set the pace for service, uphold food safety standards, and help build a kitchen culture rooted in teamwork, accountability, and pride in great seafood.
What You’ll Be Doing

Leading, training, and scheduling kitchen staff, including Line Cooks and Prep Cooks
- Overseeing daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth, efficient service
- Maintaining exceptional standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation
- Enforcing food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards at all times
- Managing inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships
- Controlling food and labour costs while maximizing quality and efficiency
- Supporting menu execution and collaborating on continuous improvement
- Hiring, training, and developing kitchen team members
- Creating a positive, accountable, and team-oriented kitchen culture
- Working closely with the Store Manager to ensure clear communication and alignment, supporting seamless front- and back-of-house operations
What We’re Looking For

Red Seal Chef certification is preferred.
- Equivalent leadership experience in a high-volume kitchen environment may also be considered.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
- Deep understanding of kitchen operations, food safety, and cost control
- Ability to stay organized and perform under pressure in a high-volume environment
- Passion for seafood, sustainability, and local ingredients
- A hands-on leader who leads by example and supports their team
- Valid Food Handlers certification required, or willingness to obtain
