About the Role:
We’re looking for an experienced Residential Construction Painter to join our team, specializing in new home builds. You’ll be responsible for delivering clean, high-quality finishes in newly constructed homes, working efficiently alongside other trades to meet builder schedules and quality standards. Attention to detail, punctuality, and pride in workmanship are key.
Responsibilities:
- Sand drywall seams, corners, and surfaces to a smooth finish.
- Operate sanding tools safely and efficiently (manual and power sanders).
- Work with other trades to ensure high-quality finishes.
- Prepare new drywall and surfaces for painting — sanding, caulking, priming, and spot repairs.
- Apply paints, primers, and finishes using brushes, rollers, and sprayers.
- Ensure a smooth, even finish on walls, ceilings, and trim throughout new homes.
- Follow builder specs and color schedules accurately.
- Maintain clean and organized job sites.
- Work efficiently to meet production timelines while maintaining high quality standards.
- Follow all safety procedures and site regulations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of painting experience in new residential construction.
- Strong understanding and attention to detail of prep work, priming, and finishing in new home environments.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or with a small crew.
- Must have reliable transportation to multiple job sites.
- Familiarity with builder requirements and timelines is an asset.
Site Safety Requirements:
- Hard Hat: CSA-approved safety helmet (CSA Z94.1) required at all times on site.
- Safety Boots: CSA Grade 1 work boots with green triangle patch required.
