Join our team as a Seasonal Maintenance Person at Rodd Moncton Hotel and help us keep our property looking its best while creating a WOW guest experience every day!
The Maintenance Person is primarily responsible for general maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, meeting spaces, Breakfast room, pool, and other common areas. Preventive maintenance in guest rooms and common areas and landscaping duties are also included in this scope. The Maintenance Person will perform some repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and laundry equipment.
Evening Shifts: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday (start times around 11pm, end times vary)
Job Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to plan and prioritize the day to ensure preventative maintenance is completed in a timely manner
- Take care of the Pool to ensure it is always clean, clear, safe, and well-maintained to Health Department specifications
- Perform basic plumbing, electrical and carpentry tasks as required for normal maintenance of the hotel
- Perform regular inspections and maintain records of inspections
- Perform preventative maintenance throughout the building and property grounds
- Perform landscaping duties including lawn care, trimming, debris removal, and general grounds upkeep
- Review and coordinate maintenance schedule with the General Manager & team
- Respond to guest requests in a friendly and timely manner
- Maintain safe walkway’s, entrances, and working conditions by following and encouraging others to follow safety rules
Job Requirements:
- 1-2 years previous building maintenance experience preferred
- Experience with painting, plumbing, electrical and carpentry
- Knowledge of heating, air conditioning and ventilation repair and maintenance procedures
- Good understanding of a large variety of tools, equipment and machinery
- Ability to communicate in a clear, concise and professional manner
- Self- motivated with excellent problem solving and time management skills
- Ability to stand, walk and be on your feet for an extended period of time
- Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
