JOB SUMMARY
This is a contract position, estimated 2 months duration, 5 hours per-week on-site.
Under the supervision of the Business Performance Manager, Innovation and Transformation, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for general office tasks supporting electronic patients’ files management.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Digitalize patients’ files and ensure robust, clear and easy access to digital files.
- Operate office equipment such as computers and scanning equipment to complete tasks.
- Receive paper patient files and maintain its privacy and confidentiality.
- Prepare documents for scanning.
- Inspect the quality of scanned output regularly.
- Manage and store files on a computer.
- Report on progress to supervisors and raise concerns and issues with the scanning equipment to technicians.
- Produce forms and correspondence as required.
- This position requires strict confidentiality of patient health information.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of post secondary education ideally in business or healthcare
- Demonstrated experience in using Microsoft office (outlook, word, excel)
- Experience working in a fast pace administrative role requiring multi-tasking and meeting tight deadlines.
Other Skills and Abilities
- Highly organized with great attention to details.
- Very good communication skills.
- Ability read and interpret documents in English and French (preferred)
- A self-starter and able to work on own initiative
- Ability to work with all teams, Information Systems teams, Business teams
- Ability to work collaboratively as well as individually
Physical Demands
- Use computer and other equipment and reach with hands and arms.
- Vision requirements include close vision, colour vision, night vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Lifting required as per employee capacity, employee must notify Supervisor regarding any health issues that may affect ability to lift.
