Position Summary
Brown’s Bay Resort is seeking a hands-on Fuel Dock Attendant to oversee daily marina operations while actively supporting fuel dock service. This role combines leadership with front-line service, ensuring a safe, efficient, and welcoming experience for all marina guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily marina operations, including moorage assignments and reservations
- Safely fuel vessels and manage fuel dock procedures in compliance with safety and environmental standards
- Assist guests with docking, moorage, and departures
- Deliver exceptional customer service and act as the main point of contact for marina guests
- Supervise, support, and help train dock staff as required
- Maintain accurate records of fuel sales, moorage, and daily transactions
- Monitor dock conditions, fuel systems, and equipment; report and coordinate maintenance needs
- Ensure docks, fuel areas, and marina facilities are clean, organized, and hazard-free
- Enforce marina policies and respond to emergencies following proper procedures
- Support general resort and marina operations as needed
Qualifications
- Previous marina, boating, or hospitality experience required
- Leadership or supervisory experience is a strong asset
- Solid understanding of boating safety and docking procedures (or willingness to learn quickly)
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing active dock work
- Valid driver’s license required
Assets (Nice to Have)
- Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC)
- First Aid / CPR certification
- WHMIS certification
- Experience with marina or reservation systems
