Job Overview
The Junior Financial Analyst reports to the Controller and supports the Financial Accountant and the Cost Accountant in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements. The role requires strong organizational, investigative and analytical skills, clear and concise communication both verbal and written and the ability to work well independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Success in this role is measured by precision, ingenuity, adeptness, reliability and initiative.
Duties
As an integral member of the Financial Accounting team, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Transactional and account analysis (GL, inventory, production costing)
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- GL journal entry preparation and month end closing support
- Physical asset maintenance and inventory stock take
- Supports various functional tasks and special projects
Experience
- Degree or diploma in Accounting is desired
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in data analytics a must
- Advanced knowledge of Excel (e.g. VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables)
- Functional knowledge of ERP systems (Epicor) and other production platforms
- Knowledge of full production cycle and logistics an asset
- Experience in the manufacturing industry preferred
- Experience in a multi-currency and multi-entity environment (shared services) an asset
