Responsibilities
- Design, install, and commission plumbing for remote camps: potable water, wastewater, gray water, venting, and composting toilets (Pacto-style or equivalent).
- Source and schedule materials for remote sites; manage composting toilet units and accessories.
- Install wells/springs, storage tanks, filtration, backflow prevention, pressure boosting, and water treatment as needed.
- Implement waste solutions: septic tanks, drain fields, pump stations, composting toilets, and portable restrooms; ensure compliance with local codes.
- Provide temporary water solutions during build; coordinate trenching and frost-safe burial.
- Create as-built docs, schematics, and operation/maintenance manuals; train junior crew.
- Ensure code compliance, health and safety regulations, environmental requirements, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Troubleshoot on-site issues and communicate changes; support other trades as needed.
- Familiarity with exploration/mining weatherhaven tents and similar camp setups is an asset and may be leveraged for rapid deployment on remote sites.

Requirements
- Plumbing certification or equivalent; journeyman preferred.
- 3+ years plumbing experience; 1+ year on remote/camp builds.
- Experience with potable water systems, filtration, backflow prevention; basic water treatment.
- Experience with wastewater systems and composting toilets (Pacto or similar); portable restrooms ok.
- Frost protection knowledge; ability to read drawings; code-conscious design.
- Proficiency with tools; basic pipefitting/soldering; pipe insulation.
- Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel; clean driving record.
- Fluent English; strong problem-solving and communication.
- Team player with willingness to support other trades.
Preferred
- Off-grid/remote camp utilities, modular/mobile camps.
- Local codes/environmental regs knowledge; cross-trade coordination.
- Basic electrical knowledge for pump controls.
- Experience with composting toilet venting and maintenance.
- Familiarity with exploration/mining weatherhaven tent-style camps and related field layouts.
