Cashier / Customer Service Representative – Currency Exchange
Location: North Vancouver, BC
Job Summary
We are seeking a professional, customer-focused, and detail-oriented Cashier / Customer Service Representative to join our currency exchange team in North Vancouver. The ideal candidate will have previous Canadian banking experience, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced financial environment. Fluency in Farsi (Persian) is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Process foreign currency exchange transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Assist customers with exchange rates, products, services, and transaction-related inquiries.
- Provide exceptional customer service in person and over the phone.
- Verify customer information and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate transaction records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), and company procedures.
- Perform daily transaction reconciliation and reporting tasks.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and effectively.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
- Support other administrative and operational duties as required.
Required Qualifications
- Fluent in Farsi (Persian) and English (spoken and written).
- Previous banking experience in Canada is required.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient at Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent mathematical and numerical calculation skills with a high degree of accuracy
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Professional appearance and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable using computers and financial transaction software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Young professional with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Experience in retail banking, financial services, currency exchange, or related financial institutions.
- Knowledge of AML/KYC procedures and financial regulations.
- Additional language skills are an asset.
