Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure precise execution of projects
- Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and specialized machinery safely and efficiently
- Perform carpentry tasks such as framing, cabinet installation, drywall installation, and finishing
- Execute concrete forming, pouring, finishing, and masonry work to create durable structures
- Install flooring, tiles, and perform detailed painting and restoration work to enhance aesthetics
- Conduct plumbing and electrical work where needed, adhering to safety standards and codes
- Apply caulking and sealing techniques for weatherproofing and finishing touches on various surfaces
- Estimate project costs using construction estimating skills to ensure budget adherence
- Operate heavy equipment safely for excavation, lifting, or site preparation purposes
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met while maintaining high-quality standards
Skills
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for accurate project implementation
- Extensive experience with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation in construction settings
- Strong background in carpentry, drywall installation, concrete finishing, masonry, and flooring installation
- Knowledge of plumbing systems, electrical wiring basics, welding techniques, and tile laying processes
- Ability to perform restoration work with attention to detail for both interior and exterior projects
- Skilled in construction estimating to accurately assess materials and labor needs
- Familiarity with construction safety protocols and OSHA standards to maintain a safe work environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly on-site during unforeseen challenges
