As a Team Lead at KGM, you are instrumental in orchestrating our outreach efforts to support individuals experiencing homelessness. Your role involves overseeing frontline activities and ensuring the effective operation of our outreach program. From supervising outreach workers to managing crises and collaborating with community partners, you play a pivotal role in upholding our organizational standards and values. Your leadership fosters a safe and inclusive environment where clients receive the support they need to navigate challenging circumstances. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the delegation of tasks among team members, ensuring responsibilities are assigned effectively and completed according to established standards and timelines;
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration among team members across the organization to enhance productivity and service delivery;
- Handle conflicts and challenges within the team constructively and professionally, promoting resolution and mutual understanding;
- Facilitate the training of new team members and volunteers in the roles of Outreach Worker, ensuring they receive comprehensive onboarding and support to excel in their positions;
- Coordinate outreach efforts to connect individuals experiencing homelessness with essential services.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records in the client log, documenting important information regarding client interactions, needs, and concerns;
- Ensure the proper handling of confidential resident information and other sensitive data by legal and ethical standards;
- Advocate for the rights and well-being of individuals experiencing homelessness,
Position Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience in social work or related field;
- Previous experience in a leadership role;
- Proficient in Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, Teams, and other relevant platforms;
- Ability to handle crises calmly and effectively, ensuring the safety of clients and team members;
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, encompassing active listening, conflict resolution, and negotiation, to build strong relationships within the team and with external partners.
