Overview
CCI is based in Surrey and works on projects throughout the lower mainland with some opportunities that arise out of town. CCI has been doing commercial/light industrial service throughout the lower mainland for 30yrs. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson to join our team an is willing to work in Surrey, Vancouver & other areas of the lower mainland. This role is ideal for journey person with a strong background in electrical, maintenance and construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing electrical work, troubleshooting, and ensuring the safety and efficiency of electrical systems across various projects. This position offers an opportunity to work in a great environment on diverse renovation and installation projects, utilizing a wide range of technical skills and tools.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and work from detailed blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems accurately.
- Perform electrical installations and repairs in commercial, light industrial and renovation settings.
- Installation requirements; installation of distributions, panel boards, motor controls, lighting systems & troubleshooting.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, meter and specialized equipment to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
- Assist in the planning and execution of renovation projects involving electrical upgrades or modifications.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Expected to take a leadership role in guiding apprentice(s), work with others and able to work independently on electrical projects in accordance to the CEC & site specific requirements.
- Follow all safety protocols related to electrical work, including lockout/tagout, working at height procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE).Requirements
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently.
- Valid certification or license as a journeyperson electrician.
- Handyman experience or additional construction skills are considered a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.

- Journey person - Red Seal Certificate
- Valid Drivers Licence
- Have basic hand tools & cordless tools
- Must follow proper PPE
- Available to work some overtime as required
- Must live in the lower mainland
Pay: $43.00-$49.00 per hour
