Plumbing Project Coordinator & Estimator

The Opportunity
We're seeking a Plumbing Project Coordinator & Estimator to join our Commercial Projects team. This role provides
vital administrative, technical estimating, and organizational support to ensure our commercial plumbing and
drainage projects run smoothly from pre-construction tender through final close-out. The ideal candidate is
detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers in coordinating all aspects of commercial plumbing and drainage projects from
tender through completion.
- Conduct accurate mechanical piping and plumbing take-offs, gather supplier and fixture quotes, prepare bid
documentation, and organize tender submissions.
- Track and update plumbing fixture pricing, change orders, and scope adjustments throughout the project
lifecycle.
- Prepare and maintain plumbing project documentation, including fixture/equipment submittals, plumbing
layouts, Ontario Building Code references, RFIs, and change orders.
- Coordinate plumbing procurement and material tracking to ensure timely delivery and cost accuracy.
- Maintain organized project files, plumbing drawings, and correspondence in both digital and physical
formats.
- Schedule and record project meetings, distribute minutes, and monitor follow-up actions.
- Support communication between clients, plumbing subcontractors, vendors, and internal departments.
- Collaborate with accounting and project management teams to support job costing, progress billing, and
reporting.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential installation scheduling or plumbing documentation issues, and
assist in resolving them.
- Provide general administrative and coordination support to the Plumbing department as needed.
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in construction, mechanical, plumbing estimating, or project coordination
(commercial or industrial plumbing preferred).
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills with keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience assisting with plumbing tender submissions, material take-offs, or fixture pricing
breakdowns.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace; familiarity with mechanical estimating or project
management software preferred.
- Solid understanding of construction documentation such as submittals, mechanical/plumbing drawings, RFIs,
and change orders.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple departments and manage competing priorities in a
deadline-driven environment.
