The Restaurant Reservations Supervisor is a key management-track position at Bardo Elora. Responsible for overseeing the reservations system, leading the host team, and managing group and private dining experiences to ensure a seamless and exceptional guest journey. Reporting directly to the Restaurant Manager, this role blends administrative expertise with hands-on leadership and plays a crucial part in service strategy and operational coordination. The ideal candidate is highly organized, confident, and passionate about hospitality, with a strong foundation for future growth within restaurant leadership.
Compensation:
Compensation for this role is estimated at $29.50/hour, which includes a base wage of $23/hour plus direct tips from guests. Tip amounts are paid directly by guests and are expected to average approximately $6.5/hour, though actual amounts will vary depending on factors such as guest volume and seasonality. While tips are not guaranteed, they can be a meaningful part of overall earnings in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Monitor daily reservations and adjust floor plans and pacing as needed to optimize flow and guest experience.
- Maximize seating efficiency and service pacing using OpenTable, while maintaining the high standards of Bardo.
- Maintain accurate reservation notes and ensure all special requests are communicated to relevant teams.
- Promote special events, seasonal menus, and unique offerings to guests with knowledge and enthusiasm.
- Manage all group and private dining bookings, including initial inquiries, confirmations, contracts, and day-of execution. This includes responding to guest inquiries in a timely fashion.
- Act as main point of contact with Front Office for all in-house VIPs, wedding couples etc. Communicating with them regularly to ensure the best experience for our guests.
- Prepare and distribute BEOs, ensuring accuracy and timely communication across departments.
- Collaborate with the culinary and service teams to finalize menus, timelines, and logistics.
- Actively participate in menu rollouts, process change and seasonal changes, working closely with the culinary team and senior leadership.
- Personally welcome guests and act as a key point of contact for VIPs and high-touch service moments.
- Proactively manage waitlists, walk-ins, and guest expectations with professionalism and care.
- Serve as a key operational leader at the front door, ensuring hosts are equipped, informed, and aligned with service goals.
- Provide leadership and daily oversight to the Lead Host(s) and host team, offering coaching and performance feedback.
- Provide day-to-day delegation support and oversee checklist completion.
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource and trainer on all operational systems, procedures, and standards, ensuring consistent team adherence.
- Be a visible and active presence during service, supporting the host team and collaborating with the Restaurant Manager to ensure exceptional guest experience.
- Contribute to daily pre-shift meetings and align on guest flow, reservation pacing, and large party coordination.
- Handle guest feedback and service recovery with confidence, empathy, and discretion.
