Position Summary
We are seeking a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Early Years After‑School Care Attendant to support young children in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment during the after‑school hours. This position is ideal for a qualified ECE or ECEA who enjoys working with early learners and supporting their social, emotional, and developmental needs.
Schedule
Monday to Thursday: 12:00 PM – 4:45 PM
Friday: 12:00 PM – 4:45 PM
No work on statutory holidays or school closure days
Compensation
$25 - $30.64 per hour based on the experience.
Plus ECE Wage Enhancement (for ECE‑certified staff, as applicable)
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and engage children in age‑appropriate after‑school activities
Provide a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment
Support children’s emotional, social, and physical well‑being
Maintain positive and respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues
Follow all program policies, health and safety guidelines, and licensing requirements
Qualifications
Valid Early Childhood Educator (ECE) or Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA) certification
Strong understanding of early childhood development
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Current first aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Successful completion of a criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening
