Overview
Premier Compassionate Care Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Health Care Aids to provide high-quality home care services to clients in their residences. The ideal candidate will assist individuals with daily living activities, ensuring comfort, dignity, and independence while delivering personalized care tailored to each client’s needs. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for individuals by assisting with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety.
Duties
As a Health Care Aide, your responsibilities will include:
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding when necessary, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration.
- Offer companionship, emotional support, and engage clients in recreational and social activities.
- Assist with medication reminders and ensure adherence to prescribed treatments.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, dishwashing, and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
- Monitor and report changes in the client’s health, behavior, or environment to the appropriate supervisor or medical professional.
- Provide transportation and accompany clients to medical appointments, errands, or social outings, as required.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and care plans to ensure high standards of service.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client care activities and observations.
Skills
To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Certified Health Care Aid (HCA) or equivalent certification.
- CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in a similar role (home care, assisted living, or healthcare setting).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform caregiving duties, including lifting, transferring, and standing for extended periods.
