We are seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead overall community operations, drive financial performance, ensure legislative compliance, and champion exceptional resident experiences. This is a senior leadership role for someone who combines operational discipline with compassion and strong team engagement skills.
What You Will Lead
- Full operational oversight of a seniors’ living community
- Quality care delivery aligned with applicable legislation and professional standards
- Budget development, financial management, and capital planning
- Recruitment, performance management, and development of leadership teams
- Unionized workforce management (where applicable)
- Regulatory compliance, public health inspections, and risk management
- Fire safety and emergency preparedness programs
- Occupancy growth, marketing alignment, and leasing performance
- Resident and family engagement, complaint resolution, and service excellence
- Privacy and information governance as the designated Privacy Officer
What You Bring
- 5+ years of senior leadership experience in retirement living, long-term care, or healthcare operations
- Strong knowledge of applicable employment, health & safety, tenancy, labour, and privacy legislation
- Proven success managing budgets and driving operational performance
- Experience leading managers and multidisciplinary teams
- Confidence managing inspections, compliance audits, and complex operational challenges
- Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and conflict-resolution skills
- A leadership style that balances accountability with empathy
