Position Summary: Reporting to the Purchasing & Inventory Manager, the Shipper/Receiver is responsible for managing all domestic and international shipping and receiving activities, ensuring products are handled, documented, and transported efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with applicable regulations. This role supports logistics coordination, inventory control, purchasing of packaging, custom orders, and continuous improvement of shipping procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Packing, Shipping, Logistics & Compliance:
· Coordinate and process all domestic and international shipments, including required document preparation and software processes.
· Engage directly with logistics brokers and carriers as required.
· Support shipping cost tracking and provide shipment data for freight-cost reviews.
· Ensure compliance with Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations for both ground and air shipments.
· Track shipments and resolve issues to ensure timely delivery.
· Package, crate and label outgoing products to ensure safe and compliant transport.
Receiving, Inventory & Supplies:
· Receive incoming parts and materials process respective paperwork and inspect goods received against provided criteria (checking for damaged goods, short shipments, etc.).
· Receive items in Katana (MRP) or other inventory systems, ensuring quantities, cost, part numbers, and locations are accurate.
· Move incoming parts into and out of quarantine as necessary for quality inspection.
· Support inventory counts, verify and manage stock and maintain organized storage areas.
· Accurately pick and record inventory for orders.
· Source, purchase, and manage shipping supplies and materials.
· Work with shipping vendors to support daily operations.
· Delivery and picking up of parts and materials within Calgary, using a company vehicle.
· Manage and process the purchasing of custom and Cerakote orders
Processes & Safety:
· Create, maintain, and improve shipping and receiving procedures.
· Perform all duties in accordance with company health and safety standards.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
· Experience in shipping/receiving, logistics, or warehouse operations.
· Experience working with domestic and international couriers (Purolator, FedEx, UPS).
· Knowledge of international shipping and customs processes, including TDG regulations (ground and air).
· Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
· Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Teams); experience with MRP/ERP systems is an asset
· Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record
· Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical warehouse-related tasks.
