Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Body Shop Estimator to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing vehicle damages, preparing detailed repair estimates, and providing exceptional customer service throughout the repair process. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive repair procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to upsell additional services when appropriate. Prior dealership or mechanic experience is highly valued to ensure accurate assessments and efficient workflow.
Responsibilities
- Obtain all customer & vehicle information related to damage
- Take pictures, & scans for upload to the management system
- Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to assess repair needs.
- Prepare detailed and accurate repair estimates using industry-standard software.
- Communicate effectively with customers, explaining repair procedures and cost estimates clearly.
- Collaborate with technicians and parts departments to ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, concerns, and managing expectations.
- Perform quality checks at the various stages of the repair & update the customer throughout the process.
- Upsell additional services or repairs that benefit the customer while increasing shop revenue.
- Handle cash transactions accurately when applicable.
- Inspect vehicle for quality of workmanship prior to delivery
- Maintain organized records of estimates, repairs, and customer interactions.
- Follow up with customers post-repair to ensure satisfaction and address any issues.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Audatex estimating software.
- Proven experience in a automotive body shop environment preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive repair processes.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Sales experience with a focus on upselling additional services or repairs.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately when necessary.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple estimates efficiently.

Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
