Job Summary
We are seeking a licensed Electrician (309A) to join our team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a thorough understanding of electrical codes, and experience working with industrial and construction environments. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse electrical installations, including renovation projects, low voltage systems. The successful applicant will ensure all work complies with safety standards and industry regulations while delivering high-quality electrical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute electrical installations and repairs accurately.
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial electrical systems, including low voltage wiring and power distribution.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to perform electrical work efficiently and safely.
- Conduct renovations and upgrades of existing electrical systems in commercial or industrial settings.
- Install and program programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation processes.
- Perform routine inspections to identify potential issues and perform preventive maintenance.
- Follow all safety protocols and electrical codes to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to complete projects on time and within scope.
- Document work performed and update maintenance records as required.
Qualifications
- Valid Licenced Electrician (309A) certification is required.
- Proven experience in commercial electrician work or construction environments preferred.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and electrical schematics.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools.
- Familiarity with low voltage systems, renovation projects, and the use of schematics for troubleshooting.
- Ability to read technical diagrams accurately and interpret electrical codes effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and working at heights if necessary.
