Summary
GEM Systems Inc. is currently seeking a hardworking, reliable, and motivated Shipper/Receiver to join our team. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, are organized, and are comfortable with physical work, we'd like to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Prepare materials for shipment, including packing orders, preparing airway bills (AWBs), and completing export documentation.
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments, unpack materials, and distribute them to the appropriate departments.
- Lift, move, and stack boxes and cases weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records and update databases.
- Keep the shipping and receiving area clean, organized, and safe.
- Assist other team members as needed.
- Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or shipping/receiving experience is preferred.
- Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 lbs throughout the workday.
- Comfortable performing repetitive tasks and standing for extended periods.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Reliable transportation to our Markham location.
- Must be able to work on-site (this is not a remote position).
- We do not need a forklift driver.
