We look for care champions rather than just caregivers. It is a role which requires individuals who genuinely enjoy taking care of others. We understand that it is not for everybody.
A caregiver’s primary job will include:
- Companionship - We believe that companionship is the highest form of caregiving as you are sharing your time with seniors, doing simple activities such as reading, walking, knitting etc.
- Helping seniors with light household duties (light meal preparation, light laundry, light housekeeping), gardening, occasionally taking them to their medical visits, grocery shopping etc.
- Personal care: Combing their hair, helping them dress and other activities of daily living.
- Being there to support and assist seniors to navigate through the day without any difficulty.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with seniors and taking care of others is a must.
- Ability to provide minimum 2 references.
- Required certifications to support your application : PSW/ related education, Vulnerable sector check (VSC), CPR/First Aid, Vaccination proof including the 2-step TB test where required.
- Experience working with Alzheimer's and Dementia will be an asset (GPA trained / certified)
- Foreign trained nurses working towards their Ontario nursing license / Nursing students will be considered if they have experience in the industry.
- Applicants with Valid drivers license will be preferred.
- Ability to commute to work locations within 30km radius of Kitchener- Waterloo will be an asset.

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
