Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with dental procedures, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Experience with dental software such as Epic and Dentrix, as well as familiarity with orthodontics and pediatrics, will be highly valued. Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are sterilized and ready.
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including orthodontic treatments and pediatric dentistry.
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary.
- Manage patient records accurately using dental software such as Epic and Dentrix.
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring patient comfort.
- Maintain infection control protocols and adhere to OSHA standards.
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow in collaboration with the dental receptionist.
- Assist with inventory management of dental supplies and equipment maintenance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental practice.
- Knowledge of dental software platform Dentrix.
- Familiarity with orthodontic procedures, pediatrics dentistry, and CAD imaging technology is preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Certification in Dental Assisting is required; additional certifications in orthodontics or pediatrics are a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient care.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience supporting dental reception duties is advantageous but not mandatory.
Pay: $24.00-$29.00 per hour
