Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to operate various equipment and construction machinery to deliver around London and South western Ontario . Towing Vehicles
Duties
- Safely operate vehicles to transport freight and materials to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Operate forklifts and heavy equipment as needed for loading and unloading tasks.
- Perform basic automotive repairs as necessary to ensure vehicle reliability.
- Transport construction equipment and Vehicles throughout Southwestern Ontario.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is preferred; experience with commercial driving is a plus.
- Proven experience in freight transportation or related fields.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is desirable.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in driving.
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs; knowledge of vehicle maintenance is advantageous.
- Forklift certification is a plus but not required; training may be provided.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
