Overview
We are seeking an Associate Pastor who is gifted and has a calling on his life as a shepherd, loves people and has a passion for the Word of God and evangelism/outreach. He must be a leader who works to accomplish the long-term visions/goals of FFC. He must engage people in corporate worship, encourage them to grow spiritually, connect them in serving opportunities and challenge them in fulfilling the great commission.
Responsibilities
- Communication of the beliefs, values, and strategy of FFC and the ability to align staff and ministry leaders with our mission, vision, and strategy.
- Shall develop, oversee and be the primary implementer of Children’s and Youth Programs within church (evangelism, spiritual growth, fellowship and service)
- Ensure that all volunteers are organized/scheduled and supported, and that materials and general preparation are done beforehand.
- Build, maintain, and grow quality relationships with the (1) students, (2) parents, and (3) volunteers.
- Exercise supervisory control over ministry leaders (Adult, Youth and Children) empowering and driving continuous improvement.
- Meeting regularly with the ministry leaders to set and evaluate ministry goals
- Championing discipleship, training, and ministry development
- Developing resources that help staff and ministry leaders increase the impact of their ministry
- Oversee activities related to rental opportunities and marketing strategies
- Be proactive in identifying problems and provide guidance in developing effective solutions.
- Develop a growth strategy that leverages the existing resources.
- Regularly measure and monitor the spiritual and financial health of the church with the leadership team.
- Assist with Pastoral Care Ministries such as counseling, visitation, weddings, funerals etc.
- Help with preaching which challenges people to pursue spiritual growth.
Qualifications
- Exhibit evidence of Christian character and servant leadership as stated in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, and 1 Peter 5:1-4 in work environment as well as in the home/family setting.
- Possess a strong biblical and theological background, with a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Currently working as an associate pastor with a minimum 3 years of experience in church ministry, preferably within a multicultural congregation.
- A self-motivated leader, capable of casting and imparting vision for ministry, possessing relational skills with children, youth, young adults, parents, and staff.
- Experience in leading a team with exceptional leadership qualities and readiness to take on new challenges.
- Is engaging, encouraging, motivating and able to inspire vision in volunteers.
- Strong computer skills.
Pay: $52,000.00 per year
