Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscaper to join our team in <LOCATION>. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work, horticulture, and landscape maintenance, contributing to the creation and upkeep of beautiful, functional outdoor spaces. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing a variety of tools and techniques to ensure high-quality landscape environments.
Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, planting, and mulching to enhance aesthetic appeal and health of outdoor spaces
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators for excavation and site preparation tasks
- Install irrigation systems to ensure proper watering and plant health
- Use hand tools and power tools for planting, pruning, and general landscape repairs
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure safety and efficiency
- Assist with construction projects such as retaining walls, pathways, or garden beds
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute landscape designs effectively
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and environmental regulations
Skills
- Experience operating excavators and other heavy machinery preferred
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, gardening techniques, and horticulture principles
- Strong understanding of landscape maintenance practices and construction methods
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in landscaping and construction
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, digging, and bending for extended periods
- Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on safety and quality workmanship
- Prior experience in landscape maintenance or related fields is a plus
