Responsibilities:
- Travel required Mon-Fri - must be available for long hours and over-night stays. Hours may vary depending on the season.
- Physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs regularly.
- Perform a wide variety of jobs and duties as assigned, including installation of road safety devices following instruction from Foreman and Supervisors.
- Perform work outside in all types of weather.
- Follow all directions and instructions provided by Foreman and Supervisors.
- Ensure all work is done safely by following safe work procedures and safe job practices as instructed by the Foreman and/or H&S representative.
- Accountable for proper and timely reporting of accidents, near misses, first aid, and any incidents to Foreman.
- Ensure working tools are used properly, treated with care and returned. Report any issues to Foreman.
Qualifications:
- 1+ years labour experience preferred, ideally in construction.
- Valid G Licence - REQUIRED
- Must be reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- An energetic team player who can work well and communicate with others.
- Able to work year round in all types of weather, which may involve muddy, slippery, wet or icy surface conditions.
- Physically fit and able to perform physically demanding work over long hours in a road construction environment.
Immediate Start - Benefits available through union after 3 months.
Pay Starts at $27/hr.
