This position requires individuals who are capable of performing physically demanding, repetitive tasks and have experience with hand tools. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate strong attention to detail. · Fluent in English language (verbal and written).
· Commit to following instructions carefully and confidently asking for clarification if instructions aren’t clearly understood.
· Able and willing to lift 50 lbs. alone or team lift up to 100 lbs.
· Use a manual pallet jack.
· Able and willing to work in all weather (i.e., cold/wet and hot/sunny days).
· Own and wear certified safety toe footwear at all times while at the store.
· Navigate with high proficiency ‘smart’ phone and work-related apps.
· Able to establish and maintain a strong rapport – and conduct oneself courteously and professionally at all times in all interactions – with fellow workers and our fellow vendors, our corporate customer’s employees, and all garden centre customers.
· Must have reliable transportation and ensure appropriate insurance is applied to your vehicle and valid driver's license.
Duties:
- Perform various manual labor tasks as assigned
- Assist with garden centre and maintenance
- Assist with general construction and clean-up.
- Operate tools as required
- Dismantle shipping carts as required
Other Skills:
- Experience with hand tools
- Knowledge of job site safety and handbook
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods of time
