Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Shingler/Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with roofing projects and supporting various construction tasks on-site. The ideal candidate will be reliable, physically capable, and eager to learn new skills in the construction industry. Prior handyman or carpentry experience is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated individuals. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in roofing and general construction work.
Duties
- Assist with shingling and roofing installation using hand tools and power tools
- Support carpentry tasks such as framing, cutting, and fitting materials
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret blueprints and project plans to ensure accurate work
- Apply caulking and sealants as needed for weatherproofing and finishing touches
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite, ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Support handyman tasks around the site, including minor repairs and maintenance
- Follow instructions from supervisors to complete projects on time and to standard
Qualifications
- Experience with hand tools, carpentry, or general construction is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds or more)
- Basic understanding of blueprint reading is advantageous
- Prior handyman or caulking experience is a plus but not required
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn new skills
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to follow safety procedures and work as part of a team

Pay: $25.00-$38.68 per hour
