Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Aviation Avionics Technician to join our skilled team. This full-time position involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and certifying avionics systems on floatplanes and light wheel-equipped aircraft.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on avionics systems, including communication, navigation, radar, and flight controls.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and replace malfunctioning avionics components, ensuring compliance with Transport Canada regulations.
- Conduct inspections and use diagnostic tools to verify system functionality.
- Modify wiring systems, integrate new technologies, and execute system upgrades.
- Maintain records of inspections, repairs, and installations in aircraft logbooks and maintenance software.
- Protect customer aircraft by applying necessary protective measures before work begins.
Your Profile:
- Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance from a Transport Canada-approved institution (or equivalent).
- Valid AME “E” license an asset.
- Previous Aircraft Certification Authority (ACA) experience with an AMO is an asset.
- Proficiency with avionics testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
- Strong understanding of Transport Canada regulations and documentation processes.
