Companion/Caregiver needed for a 56 year old woman living with Multiple Sclerosis.
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable companion/caregiver to support a woman living with multiple sclerosis in her home in St. Albert, Alberta. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, attentive, and experienced in providing respectful, person-centered care.
Responsibilities:
● Provide companionship and emotional support
● Assist with daily routines and light household tasks
● Support with safe toilet transfers
● Accompany to appointments and outings
● Help promote independence and quality of life
Requirements:
● Experience with mobility assistance and toilet transfers
● Comfortable working with individuals living with multiple sclerosis
● Dependable, respectful, and compassionate
● Ability to maintain dignity and privacy at all times
Conditions of Employment:
● Copy of valid driver’s license (wheelchair accessible van is provided)
● Provide a recent criminal record check
● Submit a letter of reference from previous employer
● Proof of practice insurance
Preferred Qualifications:
● Previous companion care or healthcare experience
● Knowledge of mobility aids and adaptive equipment
