Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of hair styling services including cuts, color, highlights, perms, and treatments tailored to client preferences
- Provide excellent customer service by understanding client needs and offering professional recommendations
- Maintain strict sanitation and cleanliness standards in all workstations and tools in compliance with health regulations
- Upsell retail products and additional services to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
- Manage front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, greeting clients, and processing transactions
- Build strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals
- Stay updated on the latest hair trends, techniques, and industry best practices through ongoing education
Skills
- Proven experience in hair styling with a valid Red Seal certification
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients
- Strong knowledge of sanitation procedures and safety standards in a salon environment
- Ability to upsell retail products tactfully while focusing on client needs
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients and team members
- Experience with retail sales and front desk operations is highly desirable
