Assembly Team Member - Afternoon Shift - 4 Day Work Week!
Location: Okanagan Falls, BC
Looking for a hands-on job with a great schedule and long weekends? Unit Electric, a busy manufacturing facility located in Okanagan Falls, BC islooking for positive and reliable individuals to join our assembly team for the afternoon shift Monday to Thursday, from 4:00pm - 2:00am.
This position is part of the United Steelworkers bargaining unit and is covered by the terms of the Collective Agreement.
What we do:
Unit Electric designs and manufactures standard and custom electrical power, distribution and control equipment for mining, renewable energy, oil & gas, commercial, industrial and transportation.

Summary of what you will do:
- Assemble modular buildings according to specifications
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools
- Operate overhead crane and forklifts
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform inspections and report any defects or issues
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in manufacturing, construction is an asset
- Able to work in a fast-paced, team orientated environment
- Capable of meeting the physical demands of the position including bending, crouching, kneeling, walking, climbing ladders and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Reliable and dependable
- Capable of communicating and collaborating with others in a respectful and professional way
- Commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to work overtime
