We are seeking a Health & Safety Coordinator to support our ongoing commitment to safety, compliance, and operational excellence across our job sites. This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented safety professional who thrives in both field and office environments.
Functions of the job:
Site Safety & Inspections
- Conduct regular site visits
- Perform safety inspections and identify risks
- Recommend and implement safety improvements and controls
Training & Coaching
- Coordinate and deliver safety training programs
- Audit employee certifications and ensure compliance
- Support new hire onboarding and ongoing training needs
Incident Investigation & Reporting
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses
- Prepare reports and recommend corrective actions
- Assist with WSIB documentation and return-to-work coordination
Compliance & Program Management
- Ensure compliance with OHSA, MOL, WSIB, and other regulations
- Develop and update company safety policies and procedures
- Participate in Joint Health & Safety Committee meetings
Subcontractor & Project Support
- Review subcontractor safety programs and qualifications
- Prepare project-specific safety plans for clients and sites
Continuous Improvement
- Maintain emergency response plans
- Stay current with legislative changes
- Contribute to internal safety communications
Who is the Ideal Candidate?:
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Health & Safety or related field
- 2–3 years of experience in construction or similar industry
- Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) certification an asset
- Familiarity with Certificate of Recognition (COR) program an asset
- Elevated Work Platform & Lift Truck Train the Trainer an asset
- CPO approved Worker at Heights Instructor an asset
- Valid First Aid & CPR certification an asset
- Valid G-class driver’s license (travel required)
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
