Job Overview
We are seeking reliable and professional Independent Delivery Contractors ( own reefer truck required) to join our logistics network. This role involves transporting goods efficiently and safely to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, organized, and possess a strong work ethic with experience in warehouse operations or commercial driving.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport packages to designated locations.
- Load and unload cargo, utilizing equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
- Ensure accurate delivery of goods, verifying orders and obtaining signatures when required.
- Maintain communication with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered.
- Handle heavy lifting and moving tasks as needed, ensuring proper safety procedures are followed.
- Provide exceptional customer service by being professional, courteous, and responsive to recipient inquiries.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns.
- Keep accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or appropriate licensing for operating delivery vehicles.
- Experience in moving, warehouse operations, or commercial driving is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks safely.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with forklift operation is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently.
- Reliable transportation to start shifts promptly at designated locations.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and follow safety protocols diligently.
Pay: $147.68-$361.57 per day
