Are you organized, personable, and looking to be the friendly first point of contact for a busy community hub? The Chilliwack Curling Club & Community Centre (CCC) is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support our front-office operations, member services, and event coordination.
This is a part-time role, ideal for someone who enjoys varied work, has strong people skills, and can juggle multiple priorities in a busy, community-focused environment. You'll answer phones, support administrative tasks, and help coordinate events, all while helping CCC continue to run smoothly for our members and guests.
Responsibilities
- Manage front desk duties, including greeting visitors and directing them appropriately
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls and general inquiries in a professional, friendly manner.
- Assist with the planning and on-site coordination of events, bonspiels, and rentals.
- Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, correspondence, and scheduling.
- Maintain accurate member and booking records.
- Provide general information about club programs, leagues, and facility rentals.
- Assist other staff and departments (bar, kitchen, ice operations) with administrative needs as required.
- Handle incoming mail, supplies ordering, and general office upkeep.
- Other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
Skills
- Previous administrative, reception, or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace applications
- Ability to multi-task and remain organized in a busy environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work the required Tuesday–Saturday schedule.
- Experience in a non-profit, recreation, or hospitality setting is an asset.
