We are now hiring for a Journeyman/woman Plumbers. Here is an opportunity to be involved in a wide range of plumbing activities.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial and multifamily residential structure
- Work with various types of piping including PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper.
- Operate powered equipment including hand tools, stationary machines and others as always required in a safe manner.
- Make decisions and solve problems analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution.
- Follow building plans and blueprints
- Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems
- Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed and materials used
Plumber Qualifications / Skills
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trade
- Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices
- Ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings
- Familiar with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper
- Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to complete projects unsupervised and unassisted
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Very good communication skills for communicating with management, other trades and apprentices
- Very reliable, organized, with good judgement
Education and Experience Requirements
- Ticketed journeyman/woman plumber
- Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices
- Ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings
- Familiar with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
